The Twilight Replacement?

While reading Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, I notice that this book is very similar to Twilight. Instead of vampires, it's werewolves. In Twilight(New Moon) there was also a werewolf, just like Shiver. There are two main characters in this book; Grace and Sam. Grace is just a regular human being like us. Sam, he isn't 100% human. He is 50% human and 50% werewolf.
One way is because the two main characters fall in love. A human falls in love with a werewolf. Only that in twilight, it's a human falling in love with a vampire. Grace and Sam look out for each other and they go out together. In twilight, Bella and Edward look out for each other and hang out.
Another way is that they both have trouble staying together. It's very hard to stay together when someone you love isn't a human, but a werewolf. Same in Twilight. Edward an Bella had sometimes challenging moments to stay together because not both of them were human. If they were both human, then it would be an easy relationship.
Another way is when Grace went to to the woods with Sam and Grace learned how a werewolf lives like and had many experiences with Sam's family. Just like in Twilight, Bella went to see Edward's family and she learned a lot about how vampires live like. Both Bella and Grace went to their boyfriends home and learned how they live because their boyfriends aren't 100% human.
Shiver and Twilight have a lot in common. Maybe Twilight (New Moon) should be replaced by Shiver because the main characters of each story have problems in common and other things in common. It's basically the same story. I think that shiver is better because everything is explained better and you can actually get an image in your head.
